Seed Grant Funding Opportunity

 

The Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Endowment is offering seed grants up to $50,000 for projects that lay the groundwork for future, larger endeavors to address a health need or fill a gap in knowledge or practice affecting the health of people and communities in the state. Funding is available for Wisconsin-based community-led partnerships and MCW-led projects, including research conducted by MCW post-doctoral researchers.

AHW has allocated $1 million for this funding opportunity for community-led partnerships with MCW researchers and $2 million for MCW-led projects, including post-doc awards. Funded projects must be completed during a 12-month period beginning on Jan. 1, 2025. Applications for AHW’s seed grants are due on Monday, August 19, 2024. Read below to learn more and apply.

    AHW’s Call for Applications: Community-Led Seed Grants supports community-driven efforts to design new strategies, test innovative ideas, and foster greater collaboration to build a foundation for future endeavors to address Wisconsin’s leading health challenges and produce deeper impact on health and health equity in Wisconsin’s communities. Applicants may request up to $50,000 for projects completed within a 12-month period, beginning Jan. 1, 2025.

     

    To foster a collaborative approach to award selection, applicants will participate in a peer review process to assess proposals submitted to this funding opportunity by their fellow applicants. For the submitted application to be considered for funding, completion of all assigned reviews is required.

    AHW’s Call for Applications: MCW-Led Seed Grants supports eligible MCW faculty to develop new approaches and methodologies, test innovative ideas, and foster greater collaboration to address Wisconsin’s leading health challenges and produce deeper impact on health and health equity in Wisconsin. Successful seed grants will build a foundation for future research and healthcare provider workforce development endeavors beyond the project period. Applicants may request up to $50,000 for projects completed within a 12-month period, beginning Jan. 1, 2025.

Successful seed projects will build a foundation for future research and career development beyond the project period. Applicants may request up to $50,000 for projects completed within a 12-month period, beginning Jan. 1, 2025.
